Know Your Audience

It's very important to know your audience when you are giving a presentation. You don't want them to have a hard time understanding or just becoming bored with your presentation. As an example, if you talk in a slow voice with no emotion, people would get bored with your presentation.

No matter what you are writing, it is always imprtant to understand the needs of your particular audience. Ask yourself:
1. Who will read or see this piece of writing?
2. What do i wan them to know?
3. What background do th bring?
4. What do i want this piece of writing or presentation to accomplish?

Charts, Graphs, and Diagrams

Spreadsheets and graphs are used to present information because usually statistical information is best understood visually. The purpose of a chart, graph, and diagramsis to organize information so that you can compare numbers easily. It's better to present data as a graphic because people understand it more than as numbers or words. You would use charts in the real world if you ever had a job where you needed to present information and you would want it to be simpler for people to understand.

Using Math Formulas

You can calculate how much you spend and how much you earn by using excel. Excel does calculations just like you would do on a calculater. If you key a formula for an addition symbol (+), a subtraction sign (-), a multiplication symbol(*), and a division symbol(/), Excel will calculate the multiplication first, then division, then addition, and the subtraction.

Skill Builder:
1) First it would be multiplication, then division, then addition, and then subtraction.
2) Th order of precedence is important because if they were not in order, the calculations would mess up.
3) 5-2*3+7-4= 5-6+7-4= 5-13-4= -12
